Elvin Electric was founded on a straightforward premise: complex electrical work deserves a contractor who takes it seriously.

Andy Elvin has been working electrical in Northern Idaho for over a decade — through the full range of what the market throws at you, from basic service calls to full custom home installs that most contractors won’t touch. That experience shows up in how we approach every project: read the plans, engineer the system, execute cleanly, and get out without leaving problems for the next guy.

Our primary focus is complex custom residential — the high-end new builds where the homeowner has real expectations, the architect has a real vision, and the electrical has to support both. Smart home technology, whole-home automation, EV infrastructure, and advanced lighting systems are part of the standard conversation now, not special requests. We’re built for that.

We’re also actively growing our commercial and light industrial capability. Northern Idaho is developing fast, and so is the Spokane market across the border. We’re positioning Elvin Electric to serve both — residential for the volume, commercial for the long-term depth.
